Upscale uses SeedVR to intelligently increase resolution. It analyzes the image and reconstructs fine detail rather than interpolating, so the output looks sharper at full size. Output format is WebP.

How to use it

Open Upscale

Go to the Edit section and select Upscale, or navigate to gestel.ai/edit/upscale.

Upload your image

Click the upload area or drag and drop a file. JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported.

Choose a scale

Select 2x or 4x using the toggle.

Start with 2x for most use cases. Use 4x when you need print-ready output or are cropping heavily into the image.

Process and download

Click Upscale. When it’s done, download the WebP result from the output area.

When to use upscale

  • You need a larger file for print or large-format display
  • The source image is lower resolution than you’d like
  • You want to crop into a specific area without losing detail

Limitations

Upscaling improves resolution and sharpness but can’t recover detail that isn’t present in the original. Very blurry or highly compressed source images will still look soft after upscaling.
