4 credits per image. Relight uses Bria FIBO to re-illuminate a photo with a new light source. You control where the light comes from and what quality it has — useful for matching lighting across a product catalog or creating mood variations from a single shot.

How to use it

Open Relight

Go to the Edit section and select Relight, or navigate to gestel.ai/edit/relight.

Upload your image

Click the upload area or drag and drop a file. JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported.

Set light direction

Choose one of four directions:
DirectionEffect
FrontLight from directly in front of the subject
SideLight from the left or right side
BottomLight from below — dramatic, stylized
Top-downLight from above — natural overhead look

Choose a light type

Select from 13 light types:
  • Midday
  • Blue hour light
  • Low-angle sunlight
  • Sunrise light
  • Spotlight on subject
  • Overcast light
  • Soft overcast daylight lighting
  • Cloud-filtered lighting
  • Fog-diffused lighting
  • Moonlight lighting
  • Starlight nighttime
  • Soft bokeh lighting
  • Harsh studio lighting

Process and download

Click Relight. The result appears in the output area once processing is complete.

When to use relight

  • Standardizing lighting across product photos shot in different conditions
  • Creating multiple mood variations from one image
  • Fixing flat or unflattering lighting on an existing photo

Tool chaining tip

Remove the background first, then relight. This gives the AI a cleaner subject to work with and produces sharper edge lighting.
