E-commerce product photography has a few consistent requirements: accurate color, clean presentation, platform-correct sizing, and high enough resolution for print or retina displays. GESTEL covers all of these without a studio.

White background product shots

The fastest way to get a clean white-background shot is to upload a product photo and let Create generate one. Use these settings:
  • Light direction: Front
  • Light quality: Soft diffused
  • Light temperature: Neutral
If the generated background isn’t clean enough, run Edit → Remove background (2 credits) on your best result. This produces a transparent PNG you can place on any background in your design tool.

Lifestyle and context shots

Add a style or background reference to Create to place your product in a realistic environment. A kitchen scene for food products, a workspace for tech accessories, an outdoor setting for apparel. You don’t need to source a specific background photo — use a style reference that conveys the mood and the AI builds the scene around your product.

Batch processing multiple angles and backgrounds

Generate multiple variations in a single session:
  1. Run Pro (10 credits, 8 images) for your primary product.
  2. Run again with a different style reference for background variation.
  3. Use Edit → Multiple angles (10 credits) to generate additional view angles from a single hero image.
This gives you a full image set from one product photo — hero, alternate backgrounds, and multiple angles — without reshooting.

Platform-specific aspect ratios

PlatformAspect ratioNotes
Instagram feed, most marketplaces1:1Square format, universally compatible
Website product pages4:3Landscape, shows product in context
Banners, YouTube16:9Wide format for headers and ads
Reels, Stories, TikTok9:16Vertical, full-screen mobile
Set your ratio in the Create controls before generating so you get correctly-composed output without cropping.

Upscaling for print catalogs

Generated images are typically sufficient for screen display. For print catalogs, billboards, or large-format display:
  • Upscale 2x (3 credits) — doubles resolution, good for most print sizes
  • Upscale 4x (5 credits) — maximum resolution, use for large-format print
Run upscaling on your final selected image, not on all generated images — it’s more efficient to pick first, then upscale.
Use Learn (5 credits) to extract consistent product metadata before a long catalog session. It helps the AI maintain accurate product appearance — color, shape, material — across multiple generations.
